August was another productive month at Argyle, and we’re excited to showcase our latest updates. Let’s dive in and start putting income data to work.
We’ve introduced digital paystubs—a modern alternative that’s compatible with the way lenders use paper paystubs and PDFs today. Our digital paystub carries the same critical data in comprehensive, itemized lists, without all the friction that comes from manual workflows and third-party OCR services.
The new digital paystub fields can be accessed via the /payouts endpoint of the Argyle API, as well as in Argyle Console. Jump into our docs to explore the entire set of available data fields.
Easier error testing
When embedding Argyle into your flow, it can be important to understand and test errors that users may encounter when unable to successfully connect a payroll account.
To make this easier, we’ve introduced the ability to simulate possible errors in our sandbox environment. Above, Argyle Console’s product manager, Tigran, provides a concise overview of the functionality, which you can learn more about in our documentation.
Securely update users’ card info with Argyle + Unit
Argyle has partnered with the banking-as-a-service platform Unit to unlock PCI DSS-certified services for joint clients—enabling fintechs to access and help manage their users’ card balances and pay distribution preferences simply and securely.

Argyle has released a collection of Sample Apps that highlight various use cases like earned wage access, income verification, and direct deposit switching. With interactive demos and expertly curated documentation, you can lift as much as you want from our readymade templates, get up and running quickly on your app, and slash your time to market.
Our latest sample app, Income Visualizer, aggregates user income data from multiple sources and presents it in filterable, customizable charts. We’re adding new sample apps on a regular basis, so bookmark our dedicated homepage.
New features in Link
With Link 4.4 and 4.5 we’ve:
Removed the need for users to provide credentials when re-authenticating
Made the Intro screen optional (managed via Link Customizer)
Redesigned the Login screen to make disclosure text more visible to users
If you use the web version of Argyle Link, this update has been applied automatically. If you use a mobile SDK, check out the Argyle Link Upgrade Guide to switch to Link 4.5.
New features in Argyle Console
Argyle Console, your hub for managing Argyle, got some major upgrades last month:
You’re now able to sign up or log in to Console with a Google account
A more informative Get Started page will get you up and running with Argyle in no time
The way Documents are displayed in Console has been re-designed, incorporating filtering by document type and a more compact layout
You can now download a VOIE report directly from a user’s profile, generated using the latest data from the user’s connected payroll accounts
In Link Emulator, you’re now able to select from a set of example direct deposit update scenarios to test when in sandbox mode
You can now submit coverage requests in Console’s Coverage tab
Enterprise-grade login and role-based permissions
To support our enterprise clients, Argyle now offers SAML for logging in to Argyle Console, allowing you to enable Argyle for colleagues using your identity provider (e.g., Okta).
We’ve also introduced robust role-based permissions in Console to enable you to control access to sensitive income and employment data, as well as other Console functionality like developer keys, billing info, and dashboards. Learn more about the capabilities available to each of the six new roles here.
Last month we launched our Homebase and Infor CloudSuite HCM integrations. We have also enhanced the Roadie and Shiftsmart integrations to support Pay Distribution Update to Card.
We’ve synced employment records from 450+ new employers in August. These include a dozen Fortune 500 companies, such as American Express, Edward Jones, and Mohawk Industries.
