Argyle provides three main solutions--income and employment verification, deposit switching, and paycheck-linked lending for its customers in both the financial services and insurance sectors. For users, in addition to eliminating the need for paystub uploads and decreasing the importance of a credit score, Argyle offers efficient solutions for gig workers managing multiple paychecks, new renters applying for an apartment, or individuals trying to get a loan, among many other use cases.

Role and Responsibilities

The Vice President of Marketing will report to the CEO and oversee all Marketing efforts. The priorities of the Vice President of Marketing are:

Strategy & Branding

  • Create a brand and market positioning that establishes Argyle as the evolution of an established process reimagined in modern and slick way
  • Devise, own, and execute Argyle’s marketing strategy across all formats, both internally and externally
  • Refine Argyle’s vocabulary and messaging to approachably, yet effectively, tell the company’s story to the modern world
  • Drive the translation of that strategy into tangible go-to-market plans that will help Argyle achieve its ambitious growth goals


  • Build, maintain, measure, and optimize Argyle’s marketing channel mix, with an eye towards growth initiatives and product adoption
  • Drive toward revenue goals, and high-quality market opportunities in partnership with sales
  • Ensure sales and partner teams are enabled and up-to-date with product, process, competitor, and market content
  • Combine research, positioning, and messaging to maximize adoption


  • Bring outstanding leadership to the organization
  • Build, retain, and mentor a world-class team consisting of diverse, yet complementary, skill-sets
  • Work closely with the sales, customer success, alliances, and product teams to identify market opportunities and define market-leading products
  • Influence product strategy, impact how Argyle brings its platform to market

Professional Qualifications

  • Proven B2B2C marketing leadership experience providing strategic input to high-growth technology businesses with ownership for marketing strategies, goals and tactics
  • Successful track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans
  • Exceptional track record developing and implementing marketing strategies that have consistently driven organic revenue growth
  • Successful track record of category creation and scaling a leading company in that category.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner
  • History of building high performing, marketing teams and attracting top marketing talent
  • Relevant domain experience preferred in deeply technical products, preferably in API space
  • A thorough grasp of the key metrics needed to drive the business
  • Ability and desire to use data and metrics to make strategic growth decisions
  • Ability to effectively align marketing efforts with different functional teams’ goals and objectives
