About the team

The Legal and Regulatory team makes sure we comply with the security and regulatory regimes in which we operate. We document our policies and compliance mechanisms for external auditors and other audiences. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for delivering regulatory compliance company-wide, run core compliance processes and act as an advisor to maintain a high compliance standard. In this role you will be working directly under our General Counsel who is based in San Francisco.

What will you do?

  • Principles, strategy, and policy – Establish compliance and privacy baselines, policies, and procedures, ensure strategic alignment across business areas
  • Governance, risk & compliance – Maintain and enhance governance of security risk, and compliance requirements including compliance with regulations, standards, and client requirements, provide independent risk assurance through leading regular audits in collaboration with external parties
  • Build and maintain standards - Own company-wide compliance policies (incl. SOC2 Type 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001/2, Privacy Shield) and manage Argyle’s compliance with privacy requirements (incl. GLBA, GDPR, and CCPA)
  • Run core compliance processes & projects - Implement and manage policies and procedures in collaboration with business, engineering and security teams and run core processes including the conduct of DPIAs, Data Inventory management, DSAR Management for Privacy Protection
  • Train our people & maintain key relationships – Ensure security and privacy awareness, champion a role-based access program, enforce acceptable use, manage client-vendor-partner cyber security relationships including audits, sales support, third party risks, and remediation (incl. annual client' security and privacy assessments, internal awareness training and third party risk management)
  • Own compliance tools - Build and manage our compliance tooling

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ experience in the compliance industry in a regulated financial services company comfortable with owning the compliance agenda end-to-end
  • An advisor and doer with a strong track record of establishing, maintaining, and monitoring compliance frameworks at fast-growing US-based fintech startups
  • Hands-on experience and leading compliance audits, with a natural ability to work with business and technical teams on data collection and management
  • Expert attention to detail, in particular with respect to drafting policy documents and operationalizing these company-wide
  • A highly effective communicator able to communicate across all layers of the organization
