Employment data is the bedrock of our society. Renting an apartment, buying a car, refinancing a home, applying for a new job- the first question asked of an applicant is "how do you earn money?" You would think that this information, so integral to our society, would be simple to transfer and monitor, but it isn't.

Argyle's mission is to rebuild how we access employment records. Our mission is now backed by $20M in institutional capital from Bain Ventures, Bedrock, F-Prime, and Checkr.

Today, most workers do not have open access to their own employment records; there are no national standards on how these records are stored or organized. Opportunities, products, and services are inaccessible because consumers are unable to validate employment information.

Argyle is building an access gateway into employment records to change this flawed status quo. Our globally-minded team is removing friction, increasing usability, and re-imagining how anyone can access employment records. Last month alone, Argyle processed 10 Million Employment Records. We are on track to double that figure this month.

From memo development to investor pitching to deal room management, Notion acted as our narrative device. Instead of perusing analog slides, when an investor opens our memorandum, Notion creates a choose your own adventure storybook.

By leveraging Notion, we shifted our conversations. Investors came into meetings with detailed questions about our business, normally reserved for technical deep-dives. Partners could reference company metrics, understand customer segmentation, and deliver perspective. Instead of wasting time on basic ideas, we used Notion to create a deeply meaningful interaction with investors that intensified their conviction in the business and desire to participate.
